When Will Interest Rates Decrease?

Wondering about interest rates and when/if they will drop? It’s the question on everyone’s mind, and for good reason, especially if you’re looking to purchase soon, or renew your mortgage in the near future.

Predictions say that the Bank of Canada might cut rates in Summer 2024, extending into 2025. Some economists caution that rates may not go back to the lows during the pandemic. These are just predictions and we will see how 2024 unfolds.

It’s worth mentioning that bond yields have already been trending downwards the past few months, which has led to significant drops in fixed rates!
